When you were a young girl you probably had a chance to play with dolls and make up and such like me. It was tons of making them look good… or so I thought. Later in life however, and as you get older learning how to apply make up the right way becomes fairly important on the need to know how to scale. Learning to apply make up and make it look natural can be a bit challenging in the beginning. For those looking to gain some additional make up tips I wrote this article with some simple tips on how to apply eyeshadow.
In order to find the right eye make up look for you its best to just test and see what colors and which style feels and looks nice. In the following tips I will give you some pointers in which to give it a try.
1. It is important to apply a base coat on your eyes before you begin. this acts as a primer allowing the makeup to stick to your eyelid so it last. It will also even out your eye shadow color and make it easier to work with.
2. Have fun and experiment on your eyes by blending. Blending creatures texture and depth on your eyes, just try one eye shadow color using a blending brush and apply the other one. Experimenting is fun!
3. A lot of women love dramatic eyes like the smokey eye look. It is a complex look that can take hours to master, but a simple trick to try is to take your shadow brush and dip it into water, then in the eye shadow and then apply. You will see that you get a dramatic, deeper, and darker look.
Shadow Color and Eye Color That Compliment:
Brown eyes – colors: copper, brown, apricot, khaki, beige, champagne and beige. Some more experimental colors are tangerine, royal blue and hot pink.
Blue eyes – colors: violet, purple, deep blue, gray, black, taupe and light yellow. Some more experimental colors are fuchsia, turquoise and silver.
Green eyes – colors: forest green, khaki, brown, plum, purple and yellow. Some more experimental colors are light green, bright blue and gold.
Eyes are almost as unique as fingerprints so the best thing to do is to experiment with colors you think are beautiful. Colors that look good with all eyes are navy, powder blue and charcoal. Silver is also perfect for most eyes.
Final fun eyeshadow tips:
4. If you want to make your appearance and eyes look younger apply a light shadow in the corner of the eye.
5. If you want your eyes to look bigger apply a light color into the inner corner and a dark shade in the middle.
6. Cream eyeshadow can have some amazing effects and is easy to put on.
One final note; practice, practice, practice. The more you practice, the more you create your own style and the more it looks natural. Create your lovely eyes now!
